Mark as Troll

Users who are marked as trolls have the following penalties applied to them.

• This action requires a duration. Gaining additional points before the duration ends will reset the duration of the troll tag to its original value.

Troll penalties

• TROLL tag highlighted next to their name.
• Additional troll penalty points.

Example usage

1. Bot admin sets troll penalty points to 1.
2. User has a current point score of 3 and was previously marked as a Troll.
3. User is issued a 0 point clarification by a moderator.
4. Bot computes score as 3 (old score) + 0 (clarfication) + 1 (troll penalty points) = 4.
5. Bot issues a 4 hour timeout to User according to the automod rules for accumulating 4 points.

Removing the troll tag

Reversing this action will remove the troll tag. Any incurred troll penalties need to be individually reversed. The troll action remains in their history.

Persistence

Like other tags, the Troll tag will remain in place if the user leaves the server and comes back.

Enabling and configuring troll points

• Troll penalty points are enabled in the policies page.
• Actions that permit troll penalty points are specified in the bot actions page.

Security

Marking a user as a troll requires that the Bot user has the ‘Mark as troll’ authority.

• Removing the troll tag requires that the Bot user has the ‘Unmark as troll’ authority.
